What is Microblading?
Microblading, also known as micropigmentation, is a semi-permanent eyebrow treatment, where pigment is deposited in your brow line using a small pen-like tool to mimic the look of real eyebrow hair. Microblading is perfect for those who want to fully reconstruct, define, re-shape, or fill in over-plucked brows. The results are amazing – the appearance of beautiful full, natural looking eyebrows.
What is the treatment like?
During the microblading process, our Microblading Specialist uses a special microblading pen to draw individual strokes onto your brow line. It is a meticulous process that takes around two hours to complete. We will work with you to determine the best shape for your face.
Does it hurt?
Most clients find it doesn’t hurt too much, but feels a bit like scratching. Our highly trained Microblading Specialist will apply a topical numbing cream to the area to minimize discomfort. If you have any concerns about your comfort level during the treatment, you can let your specialist know.
When will I see results?
Immediately. Brows will look slightly darker right after the treatment, but will slowly fade to their natural colour. For optimal results, we recommend clients come in for a touch-up after about a month.
When can I return to work / normal activities?
You will be able to walk out of North Medical Spa with your brand new eyebrows! There is no downtime, although the healing process is different for everyone. It typically takes about a month to fully heal.
Is it safe?
Microblading is a semi-permanent option that is very safe under our strictest health and safety guidelines. As always, it’s important to discuss your current state of health, any changes to your health and any medications you may be taking with your North Medical Practitioner at every appointment.
