What is Tear Trough Fillers?

Dermal fillers are injected directly under the hollow of the under eye between the lower eyelid and cheek, effectively lifting the tear trough up. The tear trough filler smooths the appearance of the area, helping to lighten dark circles and erase hallows under the eyes.

What is the Procedure Like?

During our complimentary consultation, we will discuss desired results, review your medical history and answer any questions before the treatment. From here we will book an appointment with The Doctor or Nurse.  Before treatment will examine your facial structure to determine where to administer the fillers. This is a non-surgical treatment. Small amounts of filler will be injected into the areas where you have lost volume using a cannula technique. This technique minimizes risk and the potential of bruising.

The treatment usually takes around 30 – 45 minutes.

Do Tear Trough Fillers Hurt?

Dermal fillers contain a pain-reducing local anesthetic to help manage discomfort and to ensure the process is as painless as possible. You may also talk to your Medical practitioner about a topical numbing cream if you’re concerned about further discomfort.

When Will I See Results?

Usually, you will see results immediately. If there has been any swelling, it should go down in a couple of days, and you’ll be able to see the full results subsequently over the next couple of weeks as the product attracts hydration.

Depending on the area being treated, tear trough fillers can last between 6-18 months.

When Can I Return to Work/ Normal Activities?

Right away! Downtime is minimal, and most people can return to work or normal activities right away. If you experience any swelling, tenderness or bruising, it typically only lasts a couple of days.

Are Tear Trough Fillers Safe?

Our highly trained North Medical Practitioners will be able to assess whether tear trough fillers are right for you. To ensure your safety, it’s important to discuss your current state of health, any changes to your health and any medications you may be taking with your North Medical Practitioner at every appointment.
