What is a Lip Plump?
A Lip Plump is performed with Dermal fillers and is for those who want a fuller lip shape. This treatment can also smooth fine lines on and around your lips. Lip fillers are very popular with those who wish to improve their lip’s appearance without undergoing an invasive surgical procedure.
What is the Procedure Like?
During our complimentary consultation, you will have the opportunity to meet a Medical Consultant to discuss the treatment. We will discuss desired results, review your medical history and have the chance to ask any questions before the treatment. During your appointment, The Doctor or Nurse Practitioner will examine your facial structure to determine where to administer the fillers. This is a non-surgical treatment. Small amounts of filler will be injected into the areas where you want to see more volume.
The treatment usually takes around 30 – 45 minutes.
Does a Lip Plump Hurt?
Dermal fillers contain a pain-reducing local anesthetic to help manage discomfort and to ensure the process is as painless as possible. You may also talk to your Medical practitioner about a topical numbing cream if you’re concerned about further discomfort.
When Will I See Results?
Usually, you will see results immediately. If there has been any swelling, it should go down in a couple of days, and you’ll be able to see the full results.
When Can I Return to Work/ Normal Activities?
Right away! Downtime is minimal, and most people can return to work or normal activities right away. If you experience any swelling, tenderness or bruising, it typically only lasts a couple of days. We recommend staying away from the gym and saunas for 24-48 hours post-treatment.
Is this Treatment Safe?
Our highly trained North Medical Practitioners will be able to assess whether lip fillers are right for you. To ensure your safety, it’s important to discuss your current state of health, any changes to your health and any medications you may be taking with your North Medical Practitioner at every appointment.
