North Medical offers Toronto’s most advanced Chemical Peels.
What is a Chemical Peel?
Good question! Commonly misunderstood, a chemical peel is one of the most effective ways to correct significant skin concerns. At North Medical Spa, we use Alumier MD medical-grade chemical peels, which is Health Canada approved and has a comprehensive range of blends and concentrations allowing us to customize a treatment to your specific skin issues without concern. A chemical peel gently removes the top layers of dull skin, triggering cell regeneration and minimizing the look of fine lines and rejuvenating your top layer of skin.
What is the Chemical Peel Procedure Like?
There are a series of different peel options that we offer at North Medical. The strength of the peel used will depend on your skin and your desired outcome. We will cleanse and tone the skin and then apply the peel, neutralize, apply a moisturizer and then apply SPF.
Do Chemical Peels Hurt?
Most clients report a mild tingling sensation during the peel, but don’t report any feeling of pain or hurt.
When Will I See Results From My Chemical Peel?
While you will see and feel results right away, it usually takes a few days to a week to notice the full effects of your chemical peel. Peels are most effective when done in a series, building strength and efficacy.
When Can I Return to Work/ Normal Activities After a Chemical Peel?
Contrary to misconceptions, there is little to no downtime with chemical peels performed by your North Medical Certified Medical Aesthetician and you can go about your daily routine directly following your peel.
Are Chemical Peels Safe?
Yes. Peels are very safe, and the results are phenomenal. Just be sure to wear lots of SPF afterwards, as the peel removes that top layer of dull skin – making your skin more susceptible to sun damage following treatment.
